Daily walk, when it’s nice. From this standpoint, I turn and see where I’ve been: workplace in the distance, surrounded by country! Truly a blessing to be able to have this daily scene in my life!
Every year, for the last three years, I have checked for these. The British soldiers are faithfully guarding and guiding our way into spring.
I’ve photographed them every year, growing out of an old rotten railroad tie cast aside on along the well worn path. Their color is the only color here, that I have seen so far. They are a refreshing relief as life begins again.

It’s a chickweed, but not the mouse eared chickweed. I’m still trying to identify this one. They are all just SO amazing!
