Seeking Spring

Every year, for the last three years, I have checked for these.  The British soldiers are faithfully guarding and guiding our way into spring.

I’ve photographed them every year, growing out of an old rotten railroad tie cast aside on along the well worn path.  Their color is the only color here, that I have seen so far.  They are a refreshing relief as life begins again.

Fly – The Acrobat

You gotta love the typical chamber fly. I don’t know how they get in, but every now and then I find one.  This guy I found belly up, and maneuvered into a routine by the time I had finished shooting.
